If we are gonna start again although this is just to see who will and it isnt a definate i think we need to sit down as a community and make a set of rules for the server.
Is getting more ram not just a quick fix for now, what if the problem happens again? Will a new world sort the problem? Has someone gone over the 10,000 block limit and caused the current lag issue? Can the map be set to 10,000 so no one can go past the 10,000 blocks. how much wood can a wood chuck chuck if a creeper blows the wood chuck up?

I've been on a server where you cant go past 10k blocks, so it's possible.

This needs to be implimented if there is a reset to stop any accidents. I still think a game of Ultimate Hard Core would be great if there is a world reset.

wow very close, and yes i have pretty much lots of everything, I am loving my build in my new area, but i was also the first to vote yes.
there is also the many bases from players that dont play anymore scattered across the landscape.
I have spent weeks on getting trees, bees, thaumcraft and resources but when i look at the newer players i feel i have cheated in some way (rich slag lol), that i have had it to easy.
oh and as for the stopping ppl going past a certain limit i think that is a bukket plugin (more resources used).
as for rules was thinking along these lines
1 world anchor per player.( no other loaders)
1 quarry per player, must cover hole with layer of stone than grass and light bottom up with torches(unless in ocean), no pouring water into it.
no going past 8k blocks
no living within 500 blocks of another player unless agreed upon.
no loaders in nether
no pumping lava from nether
no loaders in twilight
no canvas bags (until bug is fixed)

Disable canvas bags, no spawners just a shower at spawn and an xp grinder at spawn

no,no,no never put anything at spawn like spawners (a vast area of chunks at spawn is always loaded via the game even on vanilla)
and canvas bags can be disabled via the config file.

What about the spawners i mean do they still go on when u leave? since the chunk gets unloaded right?

What about a spawner area outside of spawn which everyone can use then? And maybe even work on

most people are responsible with their spawners anyway so i dont think that is a huge problem.

yer should'nt be too bad as long as everyone remembers to do spawners in unloaded chunks
